The salmon season started yesterday, March 1st. Rather unsurprisingly, no fish have as yet been reported. We'd expect the first of the season to come in the latter part of the month from the lower river. In the meantime, prospects for grayling fishing are very good, with both the main river and tributaries running at a nicely fishable height. If you have any reports of fish, please feel free to add a 'comment' on this blog page.
Good luck to one and all for 2010
